The New York House is a Bed & Breakfast in a former boarding house built in 1885.

Located in the quaint village of Sharon Springs, we are near the Mohawk Valley, Schoharie Valley and Cooperstown areas.

About Us

Kelly and Bruce Button entered the hospitality arena full-time this year, but each has had previous experience in the industry.
Bruce is still working in the publishing and trade show field and Kelly’s first career was in adult care . They now enjoy the wide variety of diversity found in their new careers as innkeepers. Bruce grew up in the town of Sharon in Schoharie County .
Kelly spent her childhood in southern New Jersey. Her family lived in Navisink and spent summers showing horses . Kelly was the New Jersey State Equestrian in 1984. They both enjoy being in the outdoors. Bruce is a hunter, motorcyclist, and volleyball player. He enjoys tending to the extensive flower gardens the spring and summer seasons. Kelly’s avocations include knitting, baking,decorating and traveling.
Their oldest children, Travis, Lyndsay, Brittany and Josh are on their own and have careers in the IT, Sales, Graphic Design and Entertainment industries. Stephanie, the youngest is still at home and helps out with the upkeep of the Inn. Grandson Gage is looking forward to helping Grandma and Grandpa out also, of course he’s only 1 right now!
